Im looking at buying another vacuum pump and was wondering what are some options for a 750 tap woods? I am familiar with an airablo but was wondering if there are any other cheaper options. 110v power is all i have to work with. Any help would be much appreciated. Wondering what others have that pull hi hgs for this size woods?

Well the sky is the limit and the word cheaper doesn't tell us your budget or systems. Do you us releasrs or a vacuum tank. I nbuilt my woods from 500 taps to 1500 using dry vane Gast pumps that bran on 110 and a gas motor. If your handy you can build on for around $1000.00

So im looking at a Welch 8920 direct drive rotary vane mechanical vacuum pump. Its got a good price and has 7.7cfms. I really dont have a budget for expenses, im just cheap. I am at compacity for taps in this woods. Has anyone used this pump, will it work? Thanks.

I run a travinni vac pump, sold by h20. Currently have about 700 taps on it and is a high vac pump. Have only had for a couple years but have not had an issues at all. Very small in size and as long as tubing is maintained i feel that 1500-2000 taps is possible with it

I have had great luck with Gast 3040 dry rotary vane pumps. You can find them used on ebay cheap. They have 30-40 cfm and will pull 23-25" of vacuum easily. I have used one for up to 1000 taps and lots of sap ladders. I power mine with a 2hp electric compressor motor from tractor supply. I have found them for as little as $35 at auctions.
