2.5 x 8 evaporator

Anyone using a 2.5 x 8 , thinking of up grading from a 2 x 6 . Would like to know likes and dilikes .

I really like mine, I have an Airtight front and a Same side reverse/ cross flow syrup pan, also put a Hood and pre heater on for this season, that might be the best thing I have bought to date, makes about 5 gallons of Hot water per hour and the sap is 160-170 coming into the float box.

Only thing I want to change is my syrup pan, I want to go to 3 cross flow syrup pans, they would each be 18" wide, I actually have a 10' arch so I can do it. As is I have a 30"×30" syrup pan.

I'm not sure how high your concentrating but you might consider 2 18" cross flow pans , and then you could get a 3rd one for a spare. Good luck shoping.
