Final cook down last night, I ended the season with 18.5 Gallons off of 70 taps and buckets. Just over a quart per tap. Is that about normal for buckets and bags? I was tapped in for 5.5 weeks. I probably could have left the taps in for another 3 days and cracked the 20 gallon mark.
Is tubing 20%,30% 40% ...........higher?

That is normal production, 1 quart per tap no matter what you are using. Only thing that will increase production is vacuum.

Yep what Bill said! .25 on gravity systems. .50 gal syrup on vacuum systems. If you get to those numbers you have done all things right!

I had 68 taps all on reds this year and made 19 gallons with buckets. I consider it a good year. I tapped March 3rd and pulled them the 2nd week of April.

So if I put 20 trees on a 3/16 line with 60 feet of drop I shouldn't excpect more than I'm already getting?

If you put 20 of your 70 on the tubing you should bet 5 more gallons of syrup. It should increase your yield from 5 gallons on buckets to 10 gallons of vacuum. These numbers are benchmarks and not a sure thing but you should bet double the sap.
