Looking to hear from anyone using MES membranes, and your opinion on them. I've heard good things about them. I'm running XLE440s in two post machine. Would love to hear flow rates on similar setup, using MES.

Thanks

Used 2 of them in my new RO this year. They worked as well or better then the xle4040 in my old RO and quite a bit cheaper

I have two 8x40 Mes membranes and go from 1.5%-15% in one pass pushing through 600gph. Best membranes I've ever used.

Thanks, Van. This is what I'm looking for. Is this first season on them?

I’m presuming you have 2 towers with 1 high pressure pump. May I ask what you are running for psi and what your concentrate flow rate was to go from 1.5-15. I at a similar situation where I need a second tower and membrane. Was hoping I could put off a high pressure pump for another year. Oh and what make is your ro.

Two posts, 5.5 motor for high pressure pump, 1 -1.3 gpm concentrate, 6.5-7 gpm first post, 3gpm 2nd post, pressure around 300, cdl machine. Membranes were new this year but after 80,000+ gals of sap through this year were still at my starting benchmark. I left the pressure control open and only lowered the concentrate flow. Hope this helps.

Thanks you. It does help

Yes, thanks Van. I've got 7.5hp pump, but not sure if it makes any difference than yours. Mine's Airablo, so can't see what each tower is doing. I would have thought you need more than 1.3 to keep up with evaporator. Or are you concentrating awhile before boiling? I shoot for 2gpm.

I run the ro while collecting, so I have concentrate before I boil.
