I have come to the end of season part and wanted to follow the directions.
It says when you "Acid Wash" you should drain and rinse the tank.
If you use the lower drain port on the booster pump,.............. will that drain our the Membrane filter vessel too?
I plan to leave the acid in for a few weeks.
Thanks!

Hmmm. I hope not because that's what I did last year. I'll go out and take look later today. I'm actually doing my acid soak right now and I still have the acid water in the tank. This time I'm trying something else. I put a 1/4 cup of baking soda in the wash tank to neutralize the 1/4 cup of acid that was in there.

Wait. Are you asking about the screw-on filter cylinder or the membrane itself? The filter canister will not drain if you drain the wash tank.

I am referring to the Membrane Filter Canister.

To get the acid wash in the membranes just recirculate. Then shut the pump off and immediately close both needle valves. Then drain and rinse the tank, do not leave the acid in the tank. Do you have an owner's manual from me? If yes and it tells you not to leave the acid in the wash tank, follow it, if you have an older version send an email to: dave@cnymaple.com and ask for a manual. I made some corrections in the last 4-6 weeks to help clarify some issues. Anyone who has a Deer Run RO (Ray Gingerich), send for my manual, it will help.
