New Filter

Used a new filter and pre filters , after tasting the syrup the next day could actually taste what the filters smelled like before use. Is a slight taste, but can tell it's there.
Anyone experience this or is it just me???... Thanks, Todd

Did you wash the filter before use? Wash it well in potable hot water, then squeeze it to dry, never wring it out.

Did not wash the filter, just dampened. Did how ever wash with warm water after using, guess I'll be ready for next round.
Do you also wash the pre filters before use, notice also the have the same smell ?
