Recanning finished syrup

Hello, I have a half dozen canning jars of syrup that I'd like to transfer into "maple syrup" jars.

Can I simply pour the syrup into the new jars and recan it? Or do I have to reboil the syrup, refilter and then can?

You would have to reheat it to 185/190. If you use a double boiler there shouldn't be a reason to refilter. Unless there is niter on the bottom already you want to get rid of
