How to tell if you scorched a flue pan?

So i just had an issue that might have been a close call but I don't know how to tell. Had to use my O SH#t bucket of sap as my float line was full of slush and stopped my float. How do i know if i scorched my flue pan? I didn't see any black marks but it was super low when i caught it.

Only way to tell is to look at it. If you let it cool down you should be able to look through the sap and see the shiny ss bottom. If sap is too cloudy you will need to drain. If it is really burnt you can feel the roughness on the bottom with a wood spoon.
