I over boiled my last batch of syrup and it is quite thick. Can I add it to another batch to thin it it a bit? Thanks

You sure can, but there is an easier fix.

If I ever over-boil a batch I add some boiled distilled water to it until it is the thickness that I'm looking for. You can also add boiled fresh sap if you've got some extra on hand. Tap water is also an option, but I find that ours has a lot of minerals in it and I don't want the flavour of the syrup to be affected by it.

Did you taste it? Curious if you got the carmel s'more flavor going...

I have batch in the refrigerator (1 gallon) that I overboiled a week ago. Is it too late to boil in the distilled water or can it be done at any time? Thanks.

Not too late to reduce it.

maybe not caramel but a more robust syrup taste.
