I'm looking to do some expansion for next season. Probably up to 500 taps for 2019 and a goal of 1500 eventually. It just depends on what I can get. Anyway, I am looking at expanding my single post XLE 4040 to a 3 post unit. I have a 330 GPH Procon on a 1.5 HP motor with a 1HP feed pump that provides 25-40 PSI feed. So I should have enough flow.

Series setups produce higher sugar at lower flow, parallel is faster processing but lower sugar. What about a 2 stage hybrid design?

Run the first 2 membranes in parallel and the discharge from those runs in series to the 3rd membrane. I was researching this and it's how some commercial RO water treatments are set up only with more stages.

Anyone doing this? I can't seem to figure out if there's an advantage or not.
