Hey all,
I will be building a preheater after this season is over. I was researching preheater guidelines and found the UVM spec paper. Great info in there and wanted to post it for anyone else looking to build preheater in the off season.

One interesting detail I hadnt thought about was to feed your manifold with one size smaller pipe. So I will be making a 1 1/4 in manifold and feeding with a 1 in tube. I suppose this is to slow the sap down in the preheater to help maximize heat transfer. Enjoy!
