boil rate on 2x4 supreme

For those using a 2x4 Leader Supreme pan can you tell me what your getting for a boil rate if your using an air under blower? I currently get about 12- 14 gph with a 3 section flat pan on a Mason evaporator. Also if anyone has the new 4 section Mason pan I be interested in that boil rate?

I can't speak to the Leader pan gph but in terms of the Mason pans a flat pan is a flat pan and the number of dividers has no effect on the gph rating. However more dividers will make it easier to set up and maintain a gradient.

We run a Mason 2x4 XL with 4 divisions in the pan. With the blower at 1/3-1/2 open we get 11-14 gph with split small wood, 2 inches or less in diameter. If you run the AUF blower at 3/4 to full open it WILL melt your stack down, we had to go with a 304 stainless steel 4 foot section before the elbow to keep from melting it down, running this setup with a 1/2 to 3/4 inch sap depth we were getting 17-18 gph.
This is real work and running on the edge of disaster if your not right on it watching it closely and firing by a timer every 12-15 minutes. In the end we decided to run it at around 1/2 blower with 3/4-1" of sap in the pan and enjoy ourselfs. During a big sap run I still have the option (and still do use it) to run it hard and at its limits. I hope this information helps.

Thanks jolly that’s the same issue with my mason if blower is wide open stack will melt down ! So we run at 1/2 and get 12 to 14. My only affordable hopes lye with the Supreme pan or pan from Smokey lake which is more than Supreme. I just can’t seem to find anyone with a Supreme pan to truly varify output .

What price ranges are the Supreme pans? I talked to Smokey Lake last year, they said their 2x4 hobby pro would boil 15-20 gph. I would like to have one. But for the small increase in gph for the cost I think maybe a R.O. is more cost effective...

Yes the next Gen guy I have not used I ran into his listing a couple days ago but it appears to be portable built on a dolly. So one could bring it inside at night so it did not freeze. I like to see one all hooked up so I understood it more.
