DE sap filtering question

Can DE sap filtering make lighter syrup?
I wash my collection equipment often and I boil as needed.
My raw sap goes through a bag filter, then a mesh screen in line before the 5 micron ro filter. I ro to 10% + and make good syrup, but want to make more golden lighter syrup.

If i could filter all my dark/commercial syrup to light grade A I would be doing it. There would be a great cost benefit to doing it but it ain't going to happen.
