3 cone filter tank

Got a chance to pick up a 3 cone stainless filter tank. Do you have to have a burner of any kind under those units? Do you think it would be to big for a 6 gallon a day output? Don't need a 3 cone tank but the price is right.

If it is too big, you may be able to sell it at the end of the season and get a smaller one or even apply it to a small gas finisher!

I'm not sure how a three cone filter tank works, but could you just use one, or two cones instead of all three. Just because it has three cones doesn't mean you have to use all of them. If you grow in latter years, you will not have to upgrade.
