I am going to concentrate with this unit for first time. I don't know how to set the recirculation valve in relation to the concentration valve. I put in a new MES 8inch membrane. Does anyone know at what pressure this membrane preforms best at? Thanks

My RO is a Lapierre but I find that 250 to 300 psi is what it likes best. Start there and increase or decrease the pressure until you find the sweet spot.

If your are going to recirculate your sap to get it sweet set the concentrate flow so that it matches your permeate flow.

If you're going to boil while concentrating set the concentrate flow so that it's a little more than the evaporation rate of your evaporator.

If you are doing it in a single pass you can also set the concentration flow to get a specific sugar content. When boiling concentrate for the first time concentrating to 8% is a good place start. At 8% you are removing about 3/4 of the water from the sap.

When you are done concentrating for the day/night do a sugar flush with permeate to get all of the sugar out of the RO. It takes about 10 minutes to get the sugar out of mine.
