Hood condensation question

So my hood doesnt fit super tight to the pans and today I noticed one of the condensation drips that form in that area was sweet. Is this normal? Whats going on?

Sure that could happen. One or two drops is not too bad. (1/2 inch stream, bad!)
Remember "If its not frozen, or boiling, leaking, or on fire, your probably not making syrup!"
