2nd year tubing user here; 5/16 all gravity. I have 14 taps on one line and 3 other lines with less for a total of 30 taps in all.
I'm going to replace my lines this year for next season and I want to go with 3/16. I still have some 5/16 fittings and an almost full roll of tubing as well.
My question is: Can I mix the two sizes? Maybe use the 5/16 as my drops and go into the 3/16 as my lateral (essentially my "main" line in my case)? Or will I be missing out on the potential vacuum I could see if I went 3/16 for my spiles and drops as well?

5/16 drops will work just fine Then you have a broader range of taps to use with the 5/16

I will never use 3/16 drops again. I get T's from CDL. Less back flow, more taps
