Looks like high pressure following the storm will bring clear cold nights and warm days (hopefully)

Interesting. Will low pressure with no prior freeze make the trees produce? Our last freeze was Tuesday night.

I've been getting sap all week on vacuum with no freeze. The amount of sap has been decreasing and the sugar has too but it's sap that I wouldn't get if I turned the pump off. On gravity once the sap stops flowing because of no freeze it won't start running until it freezes again.

I've been gathering and cooking full time for six or seven days straight. Today's cold will give a precious day off. The forecast looks good.
