That’s what I’ve been thinking about looking at the forecast. In MA just south of you our night temps don’t make it into the 20s, just low 30s so we’ll see.

Send up the 28-30 degree night temps to VT......can't seem to burn these cold nights off of 18-22, even when daytime is high 30s , and when does finally warm we lose the freeze! Frustrating, always too hot or too cold!!

The temps look ideal. The only question is will it warm up enough during the day to get sap flowing? Sunny days would be preferable, but the 40's might get it going. If you're trying to decide whether or not to tap, now is the time!

I'm getting ready to pull all my taps( been tapped since 1/20/18.
Kinda worked out for me as I made more than 3 times syrup as I did already this year as I did my first with same trees/ amount tapped in 2016!!!
I completely missed 2017, was ice fishing in Wisconsin and visiting sister ( came back home and trees were budding)been off work and have to go back to work next week any way and forecast may make trees buds open here...( Buds are swelling pretty bad today here in NE Ohio as I checked my buckets in downpours of rain.
