is there a reason the guys doing vac are using shurflo's and the guys doing ro are using aquatec do the aquatic not have the vac or durability or what i think they are a little higher in output psi but other than that just curious seems having an extra pump would be easier with just one type

I have both and they are very similar in performance with a slight edge to the shurflo on vacuum level. The aquatecs I bought in a package deal they were 90 each but I bought the three brand new in the box for 10 each. Also people say the 12 volt shurflo last longer. The 110v aquatecs have a tendency to burn up but I've found the part that Burns up is a 2 dollar rectifier that takes 10 minutes to solder a new one in. They both have a 12 vdc motor. The aquatec will allow sap to pass through them when they are off where the shurflo needs to be bypassed. I haven't dug into this to find out why. It almost looks like the pump heads could interchange. Jeff
