Bacon jug filling protocol

So I have always bottled in mason jars and this year we switched to plastic jugs I am not sure how to fill them. Do you wash them first? How high do you fill them? Lay them on there side after filling? Could someone give me a step by step for bottling plastic.

We turn ours upside down just to be sure they are empty, fill to the bottom of the threads, put cap on, and lay on it's side for a couple seconds

We bottle the same way as Windy Acres when we use the Bacon plastic jugs.
