When putting 2 taps into a tree, how far apart should the taps be placed. Can you put 1 tap on the north side then a tap on the east side, or should they be place on the same side like 6" higher/lower and up/down from one another? I'll be running 5/16" tubing into buckets.

Thanks

You should put one on one side, and another on the opposite and only if the tree is 18" and larger. You want to spread the taps out evenly.

Wish I wouldn't have read this until after the season was over. Too late now. Good info and thanks for asking. Ted
