I think I know the answer to this, but it never hurts to ask...
A majority of our taps have been in the trees two weeks, with only one day where the weather was good for sap to run. The rest of the time it has been frozen solid.
I was just wondering can we expect these taps to run like normal when the weather breaks?
I assume no bacterial growth that would adversely affect the holes is taking place during weather like this, and we did rinse them with a water/bleach solution prior to installation.
We use metal spouts if that makes any difference.
Thanks,
Doug
