Would a 200gpd RO system for a 100 tap hobby be worthwhile or a waste of money?

It's not going to take sugar to 8% BUT every gallon of water removed is a gallon you don't have to boil away. Time saved

It depends on the operating pressure,the type of pump and how much it costs. If you can set it up to run while you're asleep or at work you can some significant benefit. It is probably only capable of removing 35-50 gallons of water in an 8 hr day on sap. This means you could remove about 30-35% of the water or handle the same amount of sap in 5 1/2 hours as would normally take you 8 hours to boil.
