What size oil line should I run on a carlin 301 using a 4.o.o gph nozzle at 150psi.

It's recommended 3/8" or 1/2". I just installed one last week and I mainly used 1/2" line but it does neck down at the burner to 1/4".

My Beckett that will run 13 GPH uses a 3/8 line

My 701 has 1/2” 14 gph. Longer the line the bigger pipe needed to overcome friction loss

Thanks for the information. One more question.

The burner I have has a delayed start on it. Meaning it goes into a prep mode building up pressure and such before actually firing. It is not two stage. Should I leave it like this or bypass it to start off at full throttle.

Should be fine like it is.

Thanks, should have everything hooked up by next weekend just waiting for a new cone to come in. To bring it into the fire box. I bought a used carlin almost brand new foe $100.00

When I got mine going the flame was too far back and front pan did not boil like I wanted. I ended up backing pressure back to about 125 and going up in nozzle size to keep flow the same.

I also experimented with the nozzle angle as well as GPH. There are other considerations such as ramp angle and how far back it is. I cant run my gun on high fire when my concentrate goes above 8%.
