Took an idea from another member here but did it a bit differently.
I ground aways one of the rivets on each pair of vise grips and bolted each set of vise grips to each jaw of the quick clamp by passing a bolt thru the rivet hole (rivet i removed), and thru a hole I drilled in each jaw. Seems to work just fine but time will tell......

Here is another view. I tied the two clamps together in a linear fashion for support Not as fast as the two handed tool I'm sure but does the trick for a small percentage of the cost

I was using my variation of that clamp tool Sunday. I was thinking that I should make my next one out of a 12 inch clamp instead of a 6 inch. I have had lots of squirrel damage and that extra 6 inches of reach would have saved me a lot of pulling the damaged section of line through the clamp jaws and then clamping on it to cut it out. Live and learn :)

Well the tool does what is suppose to do however when the 3/16" tubing is tight the size clamp I used just does not have the power to stretch the 3/16" tubing without pulling on the line by hand.......back to the drawing board maybe a bigger clamp

When you are just experimenting with tubing. A rig like this is great. Thanks for sharing.
