Membrane Storage Tank

Can anyone tell me what they are made out of? I was thinking of making one out of PVC with caps to store my membrane in if it is possible.

Sorry I don't have any pictures but that is exactly what my membrane storage container is made out of. It is a 5" pvc tube that is capped on the bottom and has a screw on cap at the top. It is just long enough to hold my 40" membrane.

Yes you can use exactly that, just make sure that it doesn't leak as you don't want your membrane to dry out

The one we got with our RO from CDL is made out of SDR-35 PVC pipe. You can get end caps from the same store that stocks PVC pipe. Unless you can get some scrap they normally come in 20' lengths.
