Thinking of adding vacuum to an area where I have two 5/16" lines and will need a manifold for the two lines at the Shurflo. What fittings do people use? I was thinking of using a short piece of mainline with a saddle for each line. Is there something more efficient I'm not thinking of?

Thanks,
Sean

Sean, bring the two lines into a section of 1/2 inch mainline. The shurflo is set up for 1/2 inch and that should take care of you. I have some 1/2 inch and saddles for you if you need them.

Hey Rene,

I think I'll take you up on that! I'm going to move my current setup with the controller to the remote spot, so it's pretty much ready to go. It just needs the manifold. Thanks for the offer. I'll talk to you as we get closer to go time.

I am making up a manifold from SS. i have SS 3/16 (still waiting for more as you can see am missing a few) barbed fittings but sure you could get 5/16. Everything was ordered from Amazon.

I used PVC with shutoff valves on each input and one for re-circulation, made a big difference. Without shutoffs you lose all of your vacuum if you have a problem anywhere.

I was thinking of trying out a recirculation line this year. Last year was my first year with vac and it was a weird year as far as temps and flow go. My best vac never got beyond 16" or so.

Where do you put your gauges on that set up - at the far end of each line or right after your shutoffs?

Where did you find the nylon 3/16 nipples and how did you tap them into the PVC? Thanks.
