Steam pipe and weather

What do you guys do to keep the weather out of your steam pipe in the off season? I have a China hat on mine and would like to keep the moisture out of the evaporator. Thank you for any help, Brian

My steam stack extends up into the inside, at door level, of the cupola so there is no need for a cap. When boiling I just open the cupola "doors" and let er rip. Works great.

My steam stack sticks up above a metal roof. I have a stack cover that I flip open when I'm boiling and flip it down to cover the stack when not in use.
