Confirmed my RO build size this year after reading a lot of great posts here. Where has everyone been purchasing from lately. I saw a lot of posts about Atlantic RO but their website doesn’t seem to helpful. Planning on a 4x40, 1 hp shallow well pump and 1 hp motor for a Procon series 4 330 gph pressure pump.
Thanks

I bought my membranes and the SS housings on Ebay. Have not tried for the rest yet.On housings, be aware, there are at least 2 different pressure ratings on the SS housings, 250 and 300 PSI. I got the 300's but that was well over a year ago. I don't recall who had them. For the low pressure pump I plan on using this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Wayne-1-HP-Stainless-Steel-Portable-Sprinkler-Pump-PLS100/203448494 I had not yet decided on a high pressure pump.
This RO will supplement my existing RO.

Hi dave
Ss vessels 4x40 off the internet
Procon series 5 330 gph stainless all around (check Edco)
Stainless fittings from cdl, they usually have a great selection
Stainless hoses from plumbingsupply.com hoses good for 250 psi ( I use these)
Feed pump doesn’t matter really something to get to 50 psi
1.5 HP 1750 rpm ac motor for RO. ( check eBay, lots there will need 56c frame mount - edco has them)
I use MES Membranes
Flow meters (3) I have a recirc loop 1 for permiate 1 for recirc 1 for concentrate
2 300 psi gauges (eBay)
1 60 psi gauge ( feed pump)
I already have one built, building another one
There is more 2 it, here is a picture I have so far with parts

Which Procon pump is better series 4 which is brass or series 5 which is stainless. Are both acceptable? Can you run the Procon pump with say 1/2 hp motor and still get enough flow and pressure?

We have a food safety plan and require the use of stainless less pumps. That’s why series 5 was chosen. If your going to use a single vessel than I would use 3/4 hp. Two vessels I use 1.5hp 220v

Dave,
Did you ever build your RO? Would you mind sharing photos? How did you wire the pumps? Did you wire them through relays, or traditional switches?
