My new arch was obviously made for a pan a full 48 inch pan. There is a one inch gap between the front of the pan and the front lip of the arch.
If it gets bumped from the back, it will slide forward, and leak smoke at the back of the pan. Has anyone else seen this? And what did you do?

Or if your able to weld, or know someone who could do it for you, you could have some angle iron, flat stock or square stock welded in to extend the gasket surface by an inch or whatever it would take to get gasket where it needs to be. I had to "help" my first arch like that.

Leader makes all pans short to leave room for gasket. So that the pans are sealed on the arch. Us 1/2" or 1" blanket. It will keep a lot of spark and smoke from the sugarhouse.
