converting electrical to mechanical extractor

Hi:

I have a CDL electrical extractor sized for 4000 taps. Has anyone tried to convert an electrical extractor to a mechanical dump extractor ?

just expanding and I have it, just would be better if it was a dump. So is it wiser to purchase one or convert the one I have.
