Talked with the neighbor the other day. He has several apple trees that he does not want any apples from. Which lead me to think about apple syrup, but I know very little about proper density, etc. Does or has anyone ever done this before?

This is the only info that I could find on it...
--Boil apple cider/juices until coats spoon.
--DO to the high acidity HIGH LEACHING OF LEAD FROM CERTAIN PANS:( (or the MR. YUCK symbol)
--Tasty

I just have a sever itch to be in the shed boiling...

I have heard that the acid from the apples will reap havoc on a good stainless welded pan.

If the pans are welded 316 SS the acidity should not be a problem.

Quite the idea as I have access in the fall to an orchard that no longer is in use.

When I was stationed in Korea, I was attached to a ROKAF unit, we had frequent bbq's and picnics, and one we had a basket of breaded deep, fried pork strips with apple syrup poured on it. It was my favorite dish, and do to the liberal amounts of Soju, and the fact is was 15 years ago, I can't remember how to say it, let alone spell and google it. But it was GOOD and I will never forget it.
