Have a beetle infestation in the area. Killing out maples. Any suggestions on what I shouldn't do the battles these little Ba$#ards https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170530/302eba847dfcdce38649936daab84408.jpg

Doesn't look like an Asian longhorned beetle. I could be wrong though. I alwalys thought ALB's were a deep black colour with white spots and long antanees.

I agree...not ALB. I would take one to your local extension services and see if they can ID the bugger. Is it boring any holes?
Looks like a type of cicada to me, though I'm not an entomologist.

I suggest you serve them lightly roasted with a nice maple barbeque sauce?

Beetles invasion, wasn't that on Ed Sullivan in 1964?

Mitch, it looks to me like a Dicerca divaricata (Metallic Wood-Boring Beetle). It breeds in hardwood trees, including maples. I'd contact a local arborist to help with the infestation. The adults are emerging right now and will soon be laying eggs. It's best to stop the cycle ASAP. Best of luck.
