among other duties, i use my '48 to collect/haul sap during the sugar season. low-geared, but plenty of carrying capacity.

That's a truck built for work. Looks like it's in great shape. I see a truck like that and I wonder what kind of stories it could tell.

it's decent enough. mostly original sheetmetal. some patchwork done prior to my ownership. i use it year round. oil it for winter use. i put about 500 to 800 miles per year on it. it's a gas pig; gets 7 mpg at best. more often about 5 mpg. but for a total expenditure less than $5K, i did alright.

When I was a kid my older brother had a '48 Dodge for his construction business. We used to ride in the back. Probably not the greatest idea, but we sure had fun.

It's nice to see someone use their old classic truck instead of collect dust.
Nice looking truck and I like seeing it being used. I use my old Farmall H because I like using old iron.
