Can i stick the cone and pre-filters in the dryer and put it on delicate? air drying takes too long and i get backed up on production waiting for them to dry out. there is still noticeable moisture to them 20-24 hours after i cleaned them previously.

Best to hang them upside down and air dry. They don't need to be dry to filter. Actually damp is better.

Dryer may also transfer odors from dryer sheets, detergents etc...

NO! NO! NO! Do not ever put your wool filter in the dryer---it will shrink. Handle gently, rinse only in very hot water, then put in a white cotton towel and carefully roll it to get out the excess moisture. DO NOT WRING it out, only gently roll it.

I never dried them. Get them cleaned up with hot water. Gently squeeze them and put them right back into service damp. About a 10 minute process.

i found a good way to hang them (1800's technology) and just getting by with drip-drying. i feel like there's still too much water in them if i don't let them hang for a few hours at least. i may just run two sets of filters next year. although my filter inverter i built is really helping with the filtering, now instead of doing 3-4 gallons at a session i can do much more. i've done as much as 6 with no signs of it slowing down, i'm hopeful for 8-10 on a filter set next year.
