This is my forth year. 1st year I used a turkey fryer, 2nd block evaporator, 3rd this homebuilt arch in a run down shed half the arch was sticking out and this past summer, built a new shed, 1/3 dedicated to sugaring and added the insulation on the door and the just added the float this week. Hoping to get another boil or two before the leaves come out.

Nice job! Its fun to play around with making things, then putting them to work. So how is your season going so far? I think we are at about half to a little over half of what we expected. We just cleaned our front pan with this last cold snap and are up to 30 gallons so far. And it looks like we could get a couple more weeks yet, so I am hopeful.

If I push it I'm getting at least 15 gph

I've matched last years yield, I also added two vacuum lines. Hoping for another two boils.

I would also be interested in how your float setup works. I have an idea, but would love to see more detail.
