Crazy Talk.... or maybe not... ???
A buddy stopped by to look at my new Arch Build yesterday (which has not seen fire yet)...
And said.... "Hey - You could build a cover for this and use it as a pig-roaster/smoker in the summer".

Hadn't crossed my mind.. But it is now...
Crazy Talk or no??

I went to a pig roast this summer and that was the guys exact set up. He actually didn't have a cover just an open pit which was the bottom half of a oil barrel welded to a steel trailer and a motorized rotisserie. We asked about the cover and he said that is causes it to get too got and flares up a lot. I was actually thinking the same thing your buddy was but would want to be able to remove the guts of the arch to make the pit all the same depth.
