My RO slowed down over the course of the afternoon to the point I decided to do a backwash and changed the filter. Performance is now slightly better, but still slow. So, it's time for a soap wash.
I only have about 150 gal of raw sap left for the day. I'm still getting 8-8.5% on a first pass and the permeate is still sugar free. So it's doing well, just slowly. Will I cause the membrane harm by letting it finish this raw sap at a slower rate then doing the soap wash at the end of the night or at least before the next boil?
