I bought a stainless bulk tank for sap storage. It's one that the big flat lids open from either end. The previous owner had repaired a leak in the floor with a screw. My concern of course is that being 300 grade stainless it probably had something rub through from underneath? I haven't had too close a look at it, but I'm wondering if it is practical and advisable to try to gut out the cooling setup?

Not sure what type of cooling system you have there, but either way it probably wouldn't be worth trying to dismantle any of it.
Is the previous repair holding? If so, I'd leave it alone.
If it isn't, I'd have the hole welded or a piece of stainless welded over it as a patch.
