Wondering if anyone has used braided nylon PVC tubing and brass fittings with hose clamps for high pressure lines on an RO? 1/2" is rated to 200 psi working pressure. I'm trying to figure out an economical way to run Hp lines on my unit that will probably be running around 200 psi with a procon. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pex works good for high pressure lines and it's cheap.

Id like to use Pex but was concerned with the specs. 160 psi at 74° . I'm sure that's quite conservative and im guessing at 38°the max pressure would be substantial greater. maybe ill give it a go unless I hear a better idea.

I have seen these stainless lines in action running at 200+ psi no problem. I'm ordering a couple for my RO also. They are 1/2" full ID. No rubber or PTFE lining on inside of pipe. Swivel end connections. Available in various lengths. Working pressure of 200 psi but as you say probley at 74 degrees so our running temperatures of 38-40 +- would increase that. Great prices too.

We are using the nylon braided hose that you refer to on our multistage build and are running in the 200 PSI range with no issues yet. I would choose the brand carefully though as some will take more pressure than others. They are rated similarly to Pex with a four times greater burst pressure and the testing temps are higher than what we are running. Souix Chief Has their specs on line and Home Depot carries that brand. If you use this do so at your own risk as it will be at the upper limits of the reccomendations. For fittings we used the Kynar fittings from US plastics suggested by Woodbutcher. Rated for 260 psi. Also be aware that some companies have two different ratings for similar looking hose. The HD website shows 200 psi ratings for some hoses and sizes and what is on their shelves is actually rated for much lower PSI.
