So I started with a frozen bucket of sap at 2.5 percent. I emptied 1 liter of Unfrozen sap and tested the sugar at 5 percent with a fractometer. I placed the frozen sap on my evaporator and kept testing the liquid as it melted. Here are my tests
1/4 melted tested at 3 percent
1/2 melted tested at 2 percent
3/4 melted tested at 1.5 percent
Last test before melt down tested at 1.2 percent
