Will bottled (glass) syrup freeze to the point of breaking containers? Thanks, Ted

not likely. you will see some ice crystals but lots of syrup between them.

If it's truly syrup, it won't freeze, even down to -20*F, but if it's even close to syrup it will only become slushy.

Hydrometer said it was syrup so I think I'm good. Wife wants to put a couple cases in her vehical to sell but was concerned it might freeze over night. Thanks Everyone! Ted

I constantly put my syrup in bottles in the freezer. Never had any problem.
i put a 4 gallon unfiltered pot in the chest freezer to keep until the bottles came in and it runs at -5F, there was some frozen niter at the bottom, but other than that it stayed liquid.

I had a quart in my car and at -25 it froze about 1 inch in the neck of the bottle.
