A friend of my dad's happened on this at a farm aucion, so bought it for him for a few bucks without knowing for sure if it was from a relative or not... turns out it's my great-great-grandfather's and made in the 1920's. Very cool. The bottle says Gordon's Dry Gin, and had a stopper of some sort as there are no threads for a cap.

This block of sugar was in my grandmother's cupboard for years. Hard to see in the pic, but there's is a year engraved in the face... 188? (can't read the last digit for sure, but looks like a zero). Her house is over 150 yrs old, so I assume it has been there for the entire 127 yrs.

now thats some pretty sweet stuff! i'd love to find things like that, closest we have is a beat up old farm tractor pulled by horses made in the late 1800's, its in really bad shape though.
