I have an older Echochem RO that runs a Single post 8x40 with recirculation pump. My High pressure pump is 7.5HP and was told I could use 3 posts with this unit if I wanted. I was looking to add capacity at as low of cost as possible. (who isn't) Got some quotes from Atlantic RO for parts. My main question.. Does it makes sense to add a couple of additional membranes that do not have recirculation pumps to my system and if so how would you hook them up with the current post? Series. Parallel, 2 in parallel and then series......etc...
Cost for 2 housings and 2 membranes from Atlantic total are almost half of what I was told a single post would cost. I'm a being financially wise to look into this route or is it you get what you pay for and should save up some more? Thanks in advance.
