Adding candied maple to sap?

So I made a careless mistake and got distracted and left my sap too long on boil. When I came back i was well past the syrup stage and I think I ended up somewhere between soft-ball and hard-ball stage. I am now left with a small bowl of really thick, sticky maple toffee... :emb:

My question is, can I add this into my next batch of sap to boil? I don't mind having the candy but would prefer just a bit more syrup.

Absolutely. Should dilute back in just fine.
