Yesterday i had pulled my buckets, all but 3 as test buckets (that i cleaned) i was already to pull the taps when i checked my three test buckets, the sap was clear like yesterday but didn't have that terrible smell and taste. So i took the buckets i cleaned yesterday and put them back out after 3 hrs i had 50 gallons on 40 taps. Collected 70 at the farm so it was a nice easter suprise. Just as i was ready to quit

With the crap I saw last weekend and the week before that I was ready to throw in the towel. Boiled in 260 gallons yesterday morning and the sap was running yesterday. There should be enough sap to boil again tonight. Who knows I might set a record yet.
