Switching spiles

Trees have been tapped for a week now. A couple of trees I'm thinking of switching from hang on pails to drop lines into a 5 gallon pale. Is it a bad idea to pop out one spile and swap it for another one week after drilling? Thank-you everyone for your help this really is a great forum!

What size were your taps, mine are 7/16 for my buckets and 5/16 for my plastic w/tubing. I would have a lot of leaks if i tried that with mine. If you can find the same size i dont see why it would hurt to do it.
