Hey guys! Had a question about dividing a 2×4 pan to make it continuous flow. Which way is preferable, should I divide it length wise (4ft) or across the width (2ft) ? I'm cooking on a homemade arch made from a old oil tank. We boil at a rate of about 10 to 12 gallons per hour. My boiling buddy doesn't think if we divide it length wise that the gradiant will flow properly towards our draw off. I've seen it built both ways just not sure what's preferred. Thanks in advance.

I have a W F Mason 2x4 xl with divided pan. It is length wise and works very well. Raw sap in one end and finished syrup at the other end.
