80 taps, all 5/16 tubing no main line. 23in of vacuum at pump 29in at top of hill (about 15-20 ft of elevation. 600 ft of tubing. Also have a jabsco vflo 5.0 hooked to 138 taps, it was getting 22in at the pump. Had a cheaper pump, a northstar 3.0, it had 18in for the first couple of days but then today only 12in at the pump(still had 20in at the top of hill). Northstar pump is history, got another shurflo.

Dale, What size of shur-flo are you using to get that level of vacuum?

I'm running 4 shurflo 4008 on 4 separate main lines. Main line one is @250' long 125 taps pulling 18" at the top, main two is 100 taps but it has to run across a field to the tank, you ready for this?? From tank to the top of the hill is just under 500' and pulling a consistent 17", main 3 is 350' 130 taps pulling 22.5" on the top. Still setting up #4 but is going to be 3 main lines all connecting together at the pump, should be a total of @ 135 taps and somewhere in the ballpark of 400' of mainline. All of my main line is leader 3/4" with 5/16 leader flex laterals. I clamp every connection on the main lines and thread tape anything with threads. Couldent be happier with my shurflos!

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to switch to one of those style. I have my 2088 pumping from a 100 gallon tank 330 feet up a slight grade through 1/2 inch at exactly what flow rate it says it should but just can't get much vacuum.
If you are pumping up a hill and also have lines on it, vacuum will be reduced. It can't maintain good vacuum if it has to pump uphill. Might want a separate pump, or alternate pumping/vacuum.
